PROFILE
Undergraduate studies at the University of Athens , Dept of German Studies (BA in German Studies, Major in Translation 1995). Postgraduate studies at the University of Saarland , Germany , Dept of Applied Linguistics, Translation and Interpreting (courses in Translation Theory, Machine Translation, German as a Foreign Language, Stylistics, Interpreting). PhD in Translation Theory 2001. He has taught as teaching assistant at the University of Saarland (2000-2001), and, since 2003, at the University of Cyprus as Visiting Lecturer and Lecturer. He is Academic Coordinator of the MA in Conference Interpreting.
He has held a DAAD stipend for postgraduate studies (1998-2000).

Culture and Translation (theory and methodology). Translation methodology. Theory and Didactics of Interpreting, especially Conference Interpreting. Stylistics and Text Linguistics.
